According to recent research from the accounting software and financial technology business Tipalti, Apple earns an astounding USD 1,820 per second. This means Apple makes over USD 157 million every day.
Apple is the leader in the tech industry, followed by Microsoft, Google (Alphabet), and Warren Buffet’s Berkshire Hathaway, which earns more than USD 1,000 a second, adding up to over USD 100 million per day. Microsoft and Berkshire Hathaway are tied for second place, earning a combined USD 1,404 and USD 1,348 every second.
According to the research, “To put this into context, the average worker in the US is projected to earn USD 1.7 million in their lifetime, meaning the average American will earn less in their lifetime than every company on this list earns an hour.”
The average yearly salary in the United States is USD 74,738 (USD 1,433.33 per week), meaning Apple earns USD 387 (27.11%) more per second than the basic salary of the average American worker. Alphabet comes in at number four, earning USD 1,277 every second, while Meta Platforms comes in at number five, earning USD 924 per second.

On the other hand, Uber Technologies lost a staggering USD 6.8 billion in 2021 (USD 215 every second). Uber is the most popular ride-hailing service in the world, yet it is well-known that it has never made a profit.
According to the research, General Electric experienced the largest increase in year-over-year profits with a gain of USD 10.68 billion, followed closely by Meta Platforms (previously Facebook) with a gain of USD 10.66 billion. The third-largest profit rise was recorded by online retailer Amazon, which made USD 9.74 billion more in 2021 than it did in 2020.
