The Masdar-led consortium won tender to build $500 million wind farm in Saudi Arabia

WFES, which was key enabler of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2019 (ADSW), facilitated deals valued at $10.5bn to be implemented across 20 countries during its four-day run at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.

The event that came to a close in Abu Dhabi on January 17, 2019, saw a consortium led by Masdar (Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company) and France’s EDF win a tender to build a $500mn 400 MW wind farm in northern Saudi Arabia as part of the country’s efforts to increase its renewable energy capacity to 60 GW by 2030. 

Abu Dhabi Waste Management Centre (Tadweer), the strategic partners of the sixth EcoWASTE exhibition, awarded new operating contracts, which were cumulatively valued at $2.9bn to providers of solid waste collection, transportation, street sweeping and cleaning services in the third, fourth and fifth sectors of Abu Dhabi Mainland and Al Dhafra Region.
